O/T Help/votes needed in a Baking Challenge

Postby Froro on Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:06 am

Hello fellow hoseheads!

Some of you know I am a baking/cooking freak. I was asked to enter a baking challenge for Pillsbury and would love it if you wouldn't mind popping over to the contest page and rating my recipe for Chicken pot pie/Chicken and biscuits.

It's a really good recipe and easy to make. Actuall it's one of the favorites in our house. I changed it a bit to incorporate a Pillsbury product but the end result was still excellent.

Help the Froro family win a cleaning lady for a year, free groceries for a year, and new kitchen appliances. (pretty please)

Thanks to all who visit in advance. I really appreciate it.

The name of the Recipe is Simply Sinful Cheesy Chicken pot pie. Marnie is my real life name. :)

LOL...thanks KM. I edited my original post to include the name of the recipe. It's really really tasty.

Hi, Because the recipe sounded like something I could use - with variations for our personal tastes - I gave you a 5 star rating.

Thanks Jan.

It's a pretty versatile recipe. You can substitute chicken/cream of chicken soup, with Turkey and cream of mushroom (helps use up thanksgiving leftovers).

I'm neck in neck with a lady from Edmonton at the moment. LOL

another 5 star rating to *keep* you at the top....sounds good...even though I didn't test it....I'd love to eat it and send the left overs home with someone else so I wouldn't size my way right out ov my clothes!!!

All the best with the contest...what great prizes!!

Thanks guys!! You can test it after Thanksgiving if you like. Just substitute Turkey for the chicken, you can use cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken as well. It's a great way to use up thanksgiving leftovers.

I'd love to be able to get to the finals in this in Jan. The prizes really are great. My mom really needs a new dishwasher so I'd give that to her as mine is still pretty new (if I were to win...LOL).

I also voted... I love to cook, and it does look very good!

On a side note, I'm in the process of working on turkey and dumplings for Thanksgiving... everything made from scratch. Even the turkey stock, which is sitting in the fridge right now waiting for a few veggie contributions before it goes on the stove for the day.

That sounds lovely!!

I'm happy if I get to the finals in this. I'd love to win but I'd like to get at least to the finals.

Tonight I'm making Ravioli Caprese. Shredded chicken, ricotta, basil, in homemade ravioli, topped with olive oil, lemon, basil . It's light and delish!
